THE GIRLS OF MY CHILDHOOD

Well, we're women now. But these are the 'girls' from my hometown in the Philippines. Sisters, friends, schoolmates. Now fellow-bloggers! I am so proud of them!! Please visit their sites, here in no particular order:

Jesusa's Corner

Anna's Tasa

My Hodgepodge

Thinking Aloud

In time

The Immateur Anthropologist

Of Mirrors and Reflections

These are the girls I grew up with, and who are a big part of what I am today. Next time, I'll tell you all about our hometown.

P.S. Would you head on over to AT LEAST one of their sites and then come back afterwards? Don't click that COMMENT button yet...I want to know what you think of 'my girls!'

I have visited! It is wonderful to see the connections one can re-make or keep through the internet it is one one really great things snout it.
On a different note and a bit funny. I have met over the years, only 3 Filipinos (sp?) all were extremely nice and respectful, sadly (for me), they were all married. It is nice to get to meet even more through the net.

Hi Cherie, I don't know why I clicked the first oe, maybe because I was curious and the color ws pale (yellow). I did not click the comment button, (good at following instructions), but it looks like she is from my neck of the woods. I assume she works as a Nurse around West Side or near UCLA. Tell me what you think...before I head back to her site. Have a happy morning...
Ebie's main blog is here.

I have visited these stories from different backgrounds. How wonderful the technology is, we seem far apart, but yet so close.

Sir W: Now you've met plenty! Oh, I can introduce so many more, but these here are fellow-bloggers I am in constant contact with, and with whom I grew up! I am hoping to meet up with many more here! thank you for your kind comment about us Filipinos!

Thank you for your visit, Ms. Dorothy! I will be hooping over to your site in a few!

A most wonderful feeling, Icy!

Do that, Ms. Deb. I wanted to write longer, but I thought hmmm, some mystery will do it (magic). I guess it did, lol!

You're welcome, T. Anne! Feel free to leave them your thoughts!

Not a Nurse, Ate Ebie, but a Researcher, and yes, from your neck of the woods.

THANK YOU, DEAR FRIENDS, FOR HUMORING ME!! On a more serious note, I feel that it is extremely important to stay connected to your past because it defines so much of what you are in the present.

HAVE A HAPPY WEEK AHEAD!!

Hi, there, Rainfield! How right you are! So near and yet so far.

I keep in touch with only two schoolmates these days. People change over time and some friendships continue whereas some just fizzle.

You are right about that, Mei. There are fair-weathers, and there are those that stand the test of time.

Cherie,
you have made me a follower and i am so glad to have been reconnected with you again! I have checked the girls... and i am quite impress with your cirle of friends from childhood... I feel among kindred spirits knowing that we actually grew up in the same town even if i don't know them personally. Now, i have a lot of blog readings to do daily! hehehe... Girls! keep writing... You are an inspiration... you are now among one of my simple joys of life!

Guess I'm just too old Cherie---since NONE of my childhood friends BLOG... NONE of them!!!! They 'say' that they read my blog --but I'm not even sure of that. One friend said that she won't read my blog--but will read an email from me... Gosh--what's wrong with them??????

Glad you have so many childhood friends as bloggers.
Hugs,
Betsy
