The Birds Finally Fledged!

Checked on them two days ago, had these eyes as big as saucers.
Yesterday, they edged out of the nest! There were FOUR of them - they all hatched!

Early this morning, Aris saw and took the rest of these shots.WHERE ARE YOU, MOM?LOOK AT ME! I'M CLIMBING DOWN!!

WELL, I AM!!!

ME, TOO!! WHERE IS EVERYBODY?

I'M NOT SURE ANYBODY'S NOTICING - A BIRDIE OVER HERE!!
Sorry, guys, I was asleep. Aris was coming home from work, saw all this drama unfold, and PURPOSELY let me be because he was worried (again!) that I would scare the birds away. He said the Dad and Mom were perched or hovering up somewhere in the tall branches of the trees, calling out to the babies. We don't have shots of them, I feel bad about that! Now all I have is an empty nest - literally. I wasn't even able to say good bye.

Aww...that's kind of sad. I'm sorry you couldn't say goodbye. They almost become like a little part of the family I bet.

About the book swap, I will post about it when she does the next one and link to it on my blog!

ms. trudy, well, i am sad....but they have got to on learn life outside the nest! i'm glad we never interfered despite the storms, the little chirps we presumed to be of hunger or fear and all that... they'll be around, i guess. okay, will wait for the book swap..thank you, ms. trudy..hugs!

oh, sorry you were not able to say goodbye to them Che, but at least, you were able to get them beautiful pictures as they develop, and those will keep your memories of them.

Hi Cherie, Thanks for reminding me about your baby birds. I love these pictures. Those wrens are just precious. Sorry you personally missed it--but the pictures make up for it, don't they????

It is kinda sad when they are gone and the nest is empty though, isn't it????

Thanks SO SO SO much for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy

hi rainfield, you're so right. i miss the bursds, though, and wondered where they slept last night..

hi ms. betsy! yes, maam, these pictures make up for my missing them fledge, and also, more importantly, i have become quite unofficially, a bird-watcher now (shy). thanks to you!

hi stephanie, aren't they lovely? the mom nosedived me once, though when they first hatched, and i ventured a little too close...thanks for coming by!
