Clunker Blues

We were at Crown Honda yesterday, said our last good byes to Old Reliable,
and said hello to shiny, sleek youngster up there.

There was much mourning all the way home.

Congrats, Cherie.... So you all took advantage of the "Cash for Clunkers" program??? I know you'll miss the old one, but you'll love your Honda. We have Toyotas --and wouldn't buy anything else, although Hondas would probably be our next choice.

Hugs,
Betsy

oh, that picture of M mourning is so cute Che! you are so great in capturing their emotions, and where they can view it sometime and have laughs with it.

congratulations on your new car. I agree, though Khai's car before was pretty good and running, but it's mileage being from old design was not so good that we had to get new one for gas efficiency.

hello, ms. trudy. i cried in the FRONT! oh, we have fond memories of that Isuzu...

thank you, ms. betsy! we like both! but i want a civic for myself because we already have one large-sized SUV.

thank you, ms. Happyone!

i know, beth, thank you! i didn't want to take his picture with all those tears streaming down his face because i wanted to respect his moment. that dear Isuzu still has pretty good mileage, but the aircon wasn't working well, anymore, and besides, i wanted a compact car in addition to the SUV we already have. thank you again, tita bethsky!

ay, tita grace, kadako na kaluwagan, but we were all sad. aj kept saying, "i don't want to sit here! i want the green car!" so we decided to stop by a store somewhere to divert both boys' attention.

we did, ms.ebie. and there were more who weren't able to because they got there too late! we left at 8:30 in the evening, but transactions started around 2. thank you po!

Congratulation on your new car! That's sad that M feels the lost of the old reliable..

i know, Icy, and it was largely my fault. he asked what was going to happen to the old car, and i said it was going to the scrappage. later on, when i saw all the tears, i made up a story, i said, 'remember herbie (car in a movie), and how old he was? did he get crushed?' he said, no. i said, 'i don't think they will crush the Isuzu, anak (child/son), i think it will go somewhere and be useful.' he stopped crying then. thank you, Icy!

Well, perhaps you should of kept the cattle guard, you might need it when you visit the farm. Frequently we're late for town appointments because of cattle, horse and sheep drives. -smile-

ROFLAMO...omg...Cherie...I made a post this morning about Cash for Clunkers, and then just caught this post as I scrolled down after coming back to your site. I truly wanted to participate in this program also, BUT my car's mpg missed it by 3 miles. I supposedly get 21 mpg, while the limit is 18. Good grief, right? lol...I'm waiting for another program to come up.
