Life In A Petri Dish

These are friends from grade and high school. Where has life gone? We grew from losing our first teeth, to marrying or breaking up with our first loves, to getting or chunking our first jobs, to attending or missing our first school reunion, to talking about our first surgeries, to swapping stories about children, to living our dreams, fighting our battles, winning our distance runs.

Wow. Life is like cells in a petri dish. Our dreams, goals, aspirations, hopes grow, divide, at some point maybe atrophy, or die. But we keep plodding on, dreaming, hoping. It's a long ride.

You're made in the image of God so you're always and forever Someone!
You're right...life in a petri dish.

Hi Cherie, I've always said that our grade school and high school friends are the best ones of all---all through our lives. There's a special bond there.

Looks like you all had a great time.
Hugs,
Betsy

I live for moments like these...whether it be with family or friends. Life is worth celebrating, and yes, it's all about relationships!

I do NOT like what I grow in petri dishes, life is so much more interesting than that!
I am glad you kept in touch with your friends, I found my long lasting friends after High school and college. The ones in those years mostly did not stay around.
