Today's Flowers: Alstroemeria

Also called Lily of the Incas or the Peruvian Lily, some are winter-growing and some summer-growing. All of them are long-lived perennials. I find them in my patients' rooms all the time, fresh and colorful - white, purple, orange. Very, very attractive and soothing to the eyes. I hope you like them.

These flower arrangement is so beautiful. Especially when they are in your patient's room, they help cheer them up! Nice shots! P.S. It is good to carry the camera wherever you are!

I think you should not have any problem to buy rice noddle at US. This is one of my favorite.

Hey Cherie...did you ever hear of Linda Agin? She was a major hybridizer of Day Lilies...She was a very close friend of mine, and passed away from cancer not long ago. My daughter worked for her for 14 years and learned the business of hybridizing, and now works for another woman doing the same thing. Look up Linda Agin, and see all of her beautiful flowers. She even named one after my daughter, "Cherie"...spelled like your name :)

The first time I saw a Peruvian Lily it was in a bouquet I bought years ago. I thought it was the most beautiful flower and still do. Yours are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing them with Today's Flowers.

thank you, ate ebie! they do cheer them up, and this nurse, too, hihii! the flowers their visitors bring (sometimes garden fresh) are what inspired me to always tote my camera along.

aren't they, ms. happyone? sometimes, it's just purple in one vase. they're very simple but very attractive.

good wife! very feminine, willie!

no, we don't, rainfield. this is very easy to cook, too! and easily one of the family's favorites as well.

thank you, elle!

i'll look up Ms. Linda Agin, Ms. Deb, and I'm sorry she passed. I seldom run across someone who has the same name as I so I am thrilled to know that your daughter and I have the same name!

thank you, beth!

you're welcome, denise! they are gorgeous. thank you for dropping by!

Pretty flowers, make lovely cut flowers that keep well in the bowl, but they do spread in the garden.
